Juniors for Success is an on campus, in-class and after-school educational enrichment program designed to provide academic tutoring, homework assistance, cross-cultural counseling, one-on-one case management, and parent contact for elementary school students in second to sixth grades. JFS also focuses on improving social and behavioral skills. Tutors are provided from colleges and high schools to assist the children in a casual, yet structured learning environment. JFS has now expanded to 10 schools!

JFS at Santee Elementary School - The program at Santee Elementary provides academic multi-lingual tutorial services, homework assistance, a computer skills lab, social interaction, and cultural awareness. We also provide translation services, cross-cultural counseling and parental workshops, one-on-one case management, and facilitation of meetings between parents and teachers/school staff.

JFS at Kennedy Elementary School - The JFS program at Kennedy Elementary is ran by one supervisor and two tutors. The ratio is one adult to seven or eight children. As we are able to recruit more volunteers, we are able to provide better service for the students. We have built a strong bond among our tutors and students. The children love to attend our Homework Club every day. They work faster and harder in order to play educational games after completing their homework.

New ASEP at K.R. Smith Elementary School - As "Juniors for Success" began its ninth year of operations, we out-performed other competing agencies to receive a grant from the City of San Jose to collaborate all after-school programs at K.R. Smith from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., Monday through Friday. These programs include JFS by CrossCultural Community Services Center, a recreation program by the City of San Jose Department of Parks and Recreation, the Smart program by City Year, and the K.R. Smith Math Club.
